JOHN'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION = LOW KEY FUN!

John celebrated his birthday on Wednesday and I think the tributes to him went well. Last year went went to Jamaica with a bunch of friends and family. This year, we are trying to save our money to pay our bills (since I'm not working - we are a little strapped or cash) so my challenge was set - a fun and inexpensive birthday!

This is how the celebrating went down...

FRIDAY
We decided to stay local on Friday night to see the Jennifer Hudson and Robin Thicke concert - which was awesome - see review in the post below.

SATURDAY
We slept in and chilled out at home - we watched movies and did our weekend errands.

SUNDAY
We woke up early and took the girls to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. We had an amazing day, pictures will be posted very soon!

WEDNESDAY APRIL 8TH
On John's actual birthday, when he came home from work, I presented him with some thoughtful and inexpensive gifts - an iTunes gift card, Michael J. Fox's new book, a photo album of B&W photos from the years we've been together and a grow your own four leaf clover kit. I made dinner of his favorite foods - cheeseburgers, baked beans, tater tots. It was a nice combination of food! Good times!
