Oprah brought Olympic athletes to Chicago to kick off her TV show for the fall season. Chicago's Millennium Park, which is a true gem of the city, was the venue for the episode and it looked great. Michael Phelps and Kobe Bryant were probably the biggest names there, but hundreds of other medalists attended.
After the show Phelps stood with the Mayor at a press conference and talked about how great it will be for Chicago to land the 2016 Olympics!
Oprah really isn't known for being the biggest supporter of the city of Chicago, so having this event in the middle of the city instead of her studio was a BIG deal! Maybe her helping Obama is giving her some more Chicago pride!
The 2016 Olympics are going to Chicago...I just have this feeling it's going to happen. Great job Oprah and Chicago for making this event happen. I'm so proud of Sweet Home Chicago!
