WEEDS ENDS WITH A FLASH MOB...CUZ IT'S COOL!

One of my very favorite TV shows started its new season on Monday - Weeds - oh how I've missed you so very much! The show ended with a "flash mob" as you can see in the clip above.

I first saw a flash mob last week on youtube.com. More than 200 dancers united for this amazing dance number to a modern-mixed version of "Do Re Mi," in the main train station in Antwerp, Belgium. New to my list of things I need to do before I die: start a flash mob in a public space and have it video taped for the world to see. After all, flash mobs are very uplifting and I'm not surprised the creative minds on Weeds decided to incorporate this into their show.

Seriously, why hasn't this show been awarded several Emmy Awards by now? They have been nominated but no wins. They should start with giving one to Mary Louise Parker, after all she is the best mother in the whole wide world! Move over momma Brady, June Clever and Marge Simpson, the carefully scripted, often scandalous, Showtime golden child has officially brought the mother of all mothers of our generation to life and she's a total gem of a woman!

DON'T MESS WITH NURSE JACKIE

Nurse Jackie, Showtime, 10:30 EST (KSLAZ gives it **** stars)

Edie Falco's characters have always amazed me. She was brilliant as a prison guard in the insanely sexy drama Oz. She mastered the role of a mafia wife and mother on the mega hit The Sopranos. Now she is playing Nurse Jackie - the star of a new Showtime TV series that debuted after Weeds this past Monday.

Jackie is a modern day Robin Hood, helping the "good" and screwing over the a-holes. One of my favorite parts of the premiere episode was when she was talking about a nun she had while growing up in New York. She said that this nun told her that no matter how good someone can bring to the world they also have the potential to be the just as evil. She acknowledges that some of her decisions on the job can be defined as scandalous but she is able to justify her actions by feeling she is doing something to help people.

In this first episode she forges a deceased bike messenger's organ donor card, flushes a douche bag's ear down the toilet and snorts Oxycontin she gets from the adulterous affair she is having with her afternoon sex buddy in the pharmacy department. Normally someone whose claims these practices as normal behavior in her daily life would be deemed an awful person. But in the end you are rooting for this woman to keep on living life this way - fighting for what she believes in. Edie Falco brilliantly plays this character who will surely have many more scandals up her sleeve that will make for amazing TV.

I'm very much looking forward to next week. Also, I'm REALLY glad John and I picked Showtime instead of HBO in our cable package. Weeds and Nurse Jackie are going to make Monday a day I look forward to this summer!

YOU KNOW WHO YOU LOOK LIKE?

I was just minding my own business walking back to my desk from lunch and out it comes, "You know what you look like?" I turned around expecting to answer to another Josh Groban sighting, and out of no where my vice president tells me I look like Kevin Nealon with curly hair. AND his secretary agreed with him. IRG!

Do you think I look like Kevin Nealon? I see the Josh Groban comparisons, but Kevin Freaking Nealon...I guess maybe in the nose a little bit, we both don't have a chin and both are tall.

Maybe I will get a nose job so I can stop looking like other people. But what if the nose job makes me look like someone else? What I need to do is get real famous so people can tell Kevin Nealon and Josh Groban they look like me!

I am just a wee bit annoyed right now, it will pass shortly.
