The Statue of Liberty symbolizes the American dream. People from far away lands traveled to the "land of the free - home of the brave." They wanted to bring their families to a country that promised equal rights, religious freedom and opportunities for a life known as the "American Dream."
I really do love my country and this visit to the Statue of Liberty was amazing. It was a beautiful day and even tho I complained about the hundreds of people smashed together on a boat to get to the attraction - I then realized how silly I was acting - and will always remember "our amazing day with Miss Liberty!"
