A "Party of Five" remake would be unbelievably awesome!
With the move currently in progress I have no TV and pulled my back a little this morning so I decided to stay in this evening. I have been watching "Party of Five" reruns non-stop for the last few hours and this is after watching the pilot episode of "Beverly Hills 90210." Did you know Donna didn't have a speaking roll in the pilot? She was introduced to Brenda's mom by Kelly but Donna never speaks. Too funny!
The WB redid "90210" and I am hearing tons of gossip about a new "Melrose Place"...so...I think they should remake "Party of Five" only if they can get the majority of the cast to come back and they show the characters in today's culture in San Francisco and continue with the story line. I would also like to see a movie - yes a major motion picture, featuring a Salinger's Family Reunion. They did it for the Brady Bunch, lets all huddle together and try to get a "Party of Five" remake, you with me? I know I'm crazy!
I love the characters, especially Baily - he is so darn hot I can't stand it! This character was all I wanted to be while growing up. I wanted to be strong but show off my sensitive side to a select people and be the charming guy who has persevered though almost any difficult situation life throw at you. I really did admire this character - now I know it had so much to do with Scott Wolf and how freakin' hot he is, but I have to believe, after watching the show this evening, the plot lines were so right up my alley at that time in my life. I really used this show to help me grow up, living the many days-years-hours-seconds of High School.
It also is nice to watch these reruns because of the scenery - some great angles of the city were shown and I recognized a lot of the locations. It's cool to see how watching this show may have influenced my idea of San Francisco as it romanticized the idea of living there. I always told John San Francisco is a city I would live in hands down - that and NYC. These visuals in this show might have played a role in me moving here, so cheers to PO5 for assisting in my adventure to San Francisco.
Me and the family - John, Doris, DeRosa and I - leave San Francisco on Sunday Feb. 15. We are all excited about reuniting the family and John not having to travel 4-5 times a week for work. We are also excited to enjoy our city - Philadelphia! East coast here we come!
