HEADLINES SHOW A SIGN OF THE TIMES

The following are some of the funnier headlines seen on huffingtonpost.com today:

  • New York Times Discusses Jennifer Aniston's 'Weight Gain'

  • Heidi Montag Tries To Move Her Face, Can't

  • Nadya Suleman Bikini Picture: Octomom Photo One Year Later

  • John Mayer On Jennifer Aniston, Tiger Woods & Masturbating

  • Scott Baio Tweets Michelle Obama Joke, Gets Death Threats

  • National Enquirer Submitting John Edwards Coverage For Pulitzer Prize

  • Man Hugs, Kisses His Pet Lion After Favorable Court Ruling

  • 'Long Island Lolita' Amy Fisher To Strip For Haiti Charity

Printed newspapers are dying across the country because people are using social media, websites, blogs and news services to get their news. With headlines like these, it shows a lot about our society - and what standards people have in what they read - myself included.

I couldn't agree more. For the time being, journalism is dead. But I think the pendulum will swing back when people realize "Wait... Where can I go to find out what's really going on in the world - Seriously this time?"

The biggest issue I have is that you used to know when something was an Editorial or an Op Ed because it had it's own column. Now, opinions is all the news is. Everything you read everywhere is based on opinion, faulty studies or someone simply telling you it's so. You can't trust any of it.
