News from current.com:
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom formally declared his 2010 campaign for California governor Tuesday with a tech-savvy approach - simultaneous announcements on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube - and a message of "generational" change aimed at the influential young "millennial" voters who helped elect President Obama.

I received this news from a few of these social networking sites and flipping through my daily online news sources - there's a sweet story in the San Francisco Chronicle.

I'm very excited he's running for Governor - he was an awesome Mayor - and being from San Francisco - he has been a real leader for LGBT issues.

He will have a really hard job with how poorly the "Arnold" "Terminator" "Robocop" is leaving the state's government.

He will have liberal democrats of California on his side - just worried about those conservative religious parents of Miss USA contestants and anti same sex marriage voters.

BREAKING NEWS: I might have a chance to meet Gavin next week...hope to get some pictures for the blog. More to come.

GO GAVIN GO!
